Ozzie Wadhams is a Kwakwaka'wakw artist and native from the Alert Bay Band near the north tip of Vancouver Island. Born in 1958 into a family of artist, he has drawn inspiration from Henry Speck and Willie Seaweed, and has worked with Baeu Dick on numerous projects. At Expo 87' in Vancouver, Ozzie was involved in the building of a Big House on the waterfront of the Canadian Pavilion. Ozzie works in the summer as a commercial fisherman and uses winters to paint and carve.
