Bio
Fah Ambers was born in Alert Bay in 1955. He is a member of the Turnour Island Kwakiutl, but also has ties with the peoples of Village Island in Fort Rupert.
Fah began engraving silver in 1976, and the following year started carving wood under the guidance of well-known Kwakiutl artist, Doug Cranmer, with whom he still retains a strong working relationship.*
