I didn't get the chance to meet my grandfather. I have heard some stories good and bad. But never enough. I've always wished I could have had a memory to hold on to, something to think about that I could lose myself in. This was my memory, my moment that was just for me and him. He was a strong leader, a good person, he was always there for his community.

This moment is about his soul and how I see him, our family coming from the deer people and myself an owl. This was my way of getting to know my family I missed out on.

This print is on a square piece of paper with the centre design encased within a circle. The circle background is a gradient from light, sky blue in the lower right, which fades into a dark grey in the upper right. There are two sets of curvilinear lines on the left and right sides of the circle. There are small stars drawn across the background of the circle. In the centre, the most prominent design is that of an owl made up of grey and black shapes, with light blue outlining it and creating the details of the face. The owl is speckled with black ovals and trigons with dull corners. The owl has large feathers erupting from its brow that grow up and curl out towards the edge of the circle.
