Carving
1950-1989
stone
overall: 10 cm x 5.5 cm x 10 cm
This sculpture is made of a smooth, matte, grey stone, with lines of black running through it. It depicts a parent holding a child and they both seem to meld together. The parent is sitting on their knees and shins, their arms are reaching out and holding the sides of their child. The parent is wearing a hood and they bear a stern facial expression. The child is directly in front of the parent, and is a head shorter. The child's back is facing their parents and they appear to be wrapped in a blanket up to their neck. The child's facial expression is rather neutral.
