Description
This is a textiles wall-hanging. There is an image sewn and embroidered onto a cream coloured linen base that is the shape of a square. At the centre top of the textile there is a braided rope of twine that's about 4 cm in length attached to the linen square in a sem-circle, which is how the textile would be hung. The image, which takes up the centre of the textile, most of the left and right middle-edge quandrants, and some of the top centre-quadrant, the rest is negative space. The image depicts a person directly in the centre-line. Their hair is shown in four large buns that radiate out from the person's head, in brown felt and thread. The person is smiling and wearing a light blue amautiq, as indicated by the black line meeting in the middle of their chest to create an X. Two yellow, wing-like shapes emerge from the person's shoulders. Below the person are two large brown fish whose mouths are touching. The fish are mirrored and symmetrical. The upper-half of their bodies are dark brown and the lower half of their bodies are light-brown. They extend into the middle left and right quadrants.
