Description
The sculpture depicts the upper half of a walrus, with the positioning suggestion that the walrus appears to be looking up in a pool of water or perhaps coming out of the water. Its head is tilted back with the walrus's nose being the highest point. The right flipper of the walrus seems to be fully emerged while only the tip of the right is visible. The walrus is carved out of medium grey stone with darker inclusions giving it an almost dappled effect. The walrus has white tusks made of ivory.
