Portrait of Eileen Learoyd and Grania. The first subject is in the foreground and is shown from the shoulders up. The second subject is in behind the first and appears to be looking out a window on the left side of the painting. The colours used are of low intensity, giving the painting an overall "grey" feeling. A lot of white and black has also been used. The brushstrokes are very soft and blend into one another.
