Description
The artists tried to faithfully replicate mushroom species from around Nova Scotia and this depicts “Cantherellus Umbonatus”. This work is made of clay hand built to create six mushrooms of varying heights. The mushrooms are grey and rise out of a small, green ceramic base. The mushroom caps have concave centres which allows their gills to be easily seen. A shiny glaze is applied over the entire work.
