Accordion style book (orihon) with thick board pages, folded so that each side also has a reverse. The covers are wrapped in a green fabric with a light brown/yellow floral design. One side, presumably the front, has a white vertical strip of farbic on the left side of the cover. The book has gold gilded edges. There are 14 works in total, 7 on each side, depicting the lifestyle of people, landscapes, flora and fauna, and various objects. The paintings have minimal background elements.

Side A:
- Page 1: Flowers with big bunches of pink petals, hang from a single branch. Smaller buds and green leaves surround the buched flowers, possibly cherry blossoms. There is an inscription on the right side of the painting in black ink which denotes the date and signature of the artist. The date reads 紀元二千六百年 “Kigen ni-sen roppyaku-nen” or “Imperial year 2600” which is roughly equivalent to 1940. The artist’s signature is: 玉絲 Gyokushi.

- Page 2: Purple flowers with light pink interior petals, possibly magnolias, grow from two branches. The branches extend from the centre of the page towards the top.

- Page 3: A landscape with a field of flowering trees, possibly cherry trees, below and a range of mountains in the background. Behind these grey mountains is white-capped Fuji-san.

- Page 4: Four people are seated in a long boat on the water while an additional person steers. The people wear winter attire of kimono with shoals over the shoulders. The boat is of a style used to cross rivers or "watashi-bune"

- Page 5: a bird with blue and brown details is perched on a tree branch. The bird is possibly a Japanese tit or Shijūkara”. There are small round fruits on the branch as well.

- Page 6: Two human figures are standing facing eachother are in the centre of the painting. Beside the shorter one is a post. Hanging on the post are persimmons hung to dry inot "hoshi-gaki" and a "mino", a traditional straw rain jacket. The taller figure is carrying what may be a smaller human figure on their back. The shorter figure is holding a string which is tethered to a cart carrying what may possibly be a doll.

- Page 7: a building with a large thatched roof and two human figures inside. There is a ladder that leads to a section in the roof.

Side B
- Page 1: Five human figures, some with umbrellas and carrying flowers, possibly camellias. There are faint strokes of paint, possibly depicting rain.

- Page 2: A variety of flowers. The largest plant has thin pink petals and large leaves that grow from its base.

- Page 3: road sign on a path with a human figure wearing a hat walking down towards a backdrop of mountains. The sign reads “Kore-yori, migi Benten-yu; hidari Ōmaru-yu” (From here, to the right: Benten Hotspring; to the left Ōmaru Hotspring).

- Page 4: A bouquet of flowers lies among several objects including something wrapped in a 'furoshiki', a bowl ('owan'), and a teacup ('chawan'). The bowl has writing which reads “Yama, sawa” (Mountain, stream) and “oagari” (Bon appetite).

- Page 5: The composition appears to show two sheets of paper with floral paintings on them in front of a potted plant.

- Page 6: In the foreground, there is a vegetable, likely a “Yanaka shōga” (Yanaka ginger) with tray and tiered box. The plate has writing which could possibly read 弁天もち Benten mochi. There is a pagoda surrounded by trees in the background.

- Page 7: The right side has the entrance to a building with several human figures inside and some standing outside in bright garments. The left has some shikishi boards with inscriptions and flowers.
