Monochromatic painting depicting three men from the waist up in frontal view. Each figure is dressed in formal clothing that includes ties, vests, hats, and coats. The figures appear to be seated behind a bar counter with three mugs and a pitcher. A small portion of a fourth mug can be seen to the very right bottom edge of the painting. The mugs each have a dark fluid in them that is presumably beer. The colour used in the monochromatic colour scheme of the painting is brown. The brushwork is soft and blended with an emphasis of detail on the facial features of the figures as well as on their garments. The figures have the appearance of elderly gentlemen. The figures in the middle and on the right both have thick white beards.
