Description
The frame is elaborate and measures 35" x 47" with corner angle braces, linear, support brackets and surface sculptured, crested and gilded. Four crest (shields) identify the three masted barque with clipper bow and steam engine amid ships. Four marine insignia on mid points of top, bottom and sides are identical and feature a long oar (used in ships longboats) , a globe above the oar, an anchor and a chart symbolizing the merchant mariners realm.
