Description
A wooden chest covered in red painted canvas with reinforced leather corners. "Honi.soit.oui.mal.y.pense" painted in a circle encompassing royal arms with cronw on top of circle. Large insignia on the lid is almost erased from wear.
Lower area, front insignia reads "Dieu at mon droit" with lion and unicorn painted on the red canvas.
The wear indicates the trunk was for field service, possibly carried by an Aid de Camp/ Protocol Officer. Could have been used to carry official documents, medals or other kitems bearing the Seal or Royal Coat of Arms of the Crown.
