Description
This print is my definition of women who walk in spirit, love, and light. She embraces the moon. I have an affinity for the cycles of the moon. It is so beautiful and powerful. The eagle represents strength and freedom.
I wrote a theatre piece titled Wi'woma: Honouring the Spirit of Women, that tells my life story through my serigraphs. This piece was performed through music and dancing to a sold out audience at the Newcombe Theatre in 1991.

Curatorial Description
Visual Description
Silkscreen print of a feminine figure facing the left holding the moon. The figure is composed of delicate turquoise, purple, black, and white formline figures. Interlaced within her form is an eagle, its head forming the figure's shoulder and its wing trailing down the her torso. The figure's body is in profile while her head is in three-quarter view. Only the left side of her face is defined by linework and white colour-fil. The rest of her head is suggested by negative space. A small moon shape is cradled in her arms. The moon's face also follow formline design and is mainly in black and white with turquoise accents. The moon bares its teeth and sticks out its tongue. Its eyes are neutral. The moon and the figure stand in front of a solid navy background.
