Carved wooden mask carved into an abstract representation of a grouse. Two wooden wing-shaped panels are attached on either side of the grouse’s face via cedar ties. The ends of the ties are left loose so that they extend down from the grouse’s face. Additional cedar strips are affixed above the grouse’s forehead and below their chin. Blue dots are painted all across the face and at the edges of each “wing.” There is a small red handprint on each wing The figure’s eyebrows are painted thickly in black. Vertical lines are painted across the grouse’s plumage. The mouth and eye holes of the mask are outlined roughly in red.
