Description
This sculpture is made of shiny, smooth, dark grey stone. It is a depiction of a parent carrying a child on their back. The parent is crouching with one of their knees and shins on the ground, the other foot is planted on the ground and their knee is in the air, as though they were in the middle of standing up for sitting down. The parents arms are bent at the elbow, their hands reaching up and over their shoulder's to grab the hands of their child, who's hanging off of their parent's back. The child is in the parent's amautiq, so only the top half of their torso is visible. White lines have been carved into the sculpture to create the finer details, such as the hair, eyes, mouths, noses, and amautiq detailing. The parents is carved atop an irregular triangular base.
