Description
The background of the image has a gradient to it, where it goes from pine green at the top to light teal at the bottom. In the foreground, there is a circular design that also has a gradient, with sky blue at the top and lapis blue at the bottom. The design contains three frogs circling a circle encased in a short spiral, likely referencing a Coast Salish spindle whorl. It seems like the frogs are depicted from above, with their arms bent at their sides. Each of their left legs is folded in close to their bodies and their right is extended behind them. The frogs’ bodies are executed in shapes that resemble eyes on their legs and arms. The design uses Coast Salish design elements to create and interplay between the two layers, blurring what is the foreground and what is the background. The image feels dynamic with curving lines to suggest water. These lines sometimes break out of the perimeter circle, creating more of an implied delimitation.
