The Chancellor's Chair was made by 7 artists. Each artist worked on part of it, then the aspects were combined into a unified piece.

Carved Sides by Don Yeomans - Carved wood sides and facia of chancellor's chair are of carved cedar painted in red, blue, and black colour showing traditional Haida motifs.

Armrests by Calvin Hunt - Eagle chair armrests are carved and painted with North West Coast First Nations motifs in blue, black and red. They are part of the the chancellor's chair.

Backrest by Cheryl Samuel - Backrest for chancellor's ceremonial chair woven in traditional Chilkat motif in blue, yellow, and black colour.

Cushion by Ann Smith - Chair cushion is woven in traditional Chilkat Raven's Tail motif in black and white wool.

Chair Back by Art Thompson - Chair back of carved wood painted in black, blue, and red depicting the "Legend of the Crawling Wolves."

Backrest Sculpture by Norman Tait - Carved wood eagle in flight which surmounts backrest of chancellor's chair

Chair Front by John Livingston- Chair front carvings for the chancellor's chair are painted in blue, red, and black and are of a traditional Tlingit style design.
