Description
The Blade is fashioned from watered-steel of the Damascus type and also bers a chevron stripe which is an example of the "Ladder of Mohammed" of chevron form. It has a galleried channel of rolling balls about 1/8" to 3/16" in diameter running its full length except for 1" on both ends which has been referred to as the tears of the wounded. These little balls were believed to add momentum and force to the downward swing.
The Scabbard is covered with purple velvet with 22k gold work around the bottom and top 4" and 5" respectively.
