Painting, mixed media on paper of a frigate on the ocean, land is in site on both the proper left and right sides of the image. The ship is sailing proper left and paper is oriented in the landscape formate. The frigate has three main vertical masts with three half moon shaped white sails hanging from each, below these each mast has one large square sail. There is one mast which extends from the front of the frigate on an angle and bears three triangular masts. There are two red flags hanging off of the back of the firgate, one at the top of the back mast, and the second one is located three sails below.
The frigate appears to be loaded with 26 canons that we can see. Ten people can be counted on deck. There is what appears to be a white lighthouse in the proper right of the image. There are five gulls flying in for foreground of the images. There is also a brown floating object in the water in the bottom proper left corner of the image.
