This is a Raigo painting : four figures are descending from heaven to greet the soul of the deceased. The largest figure is amida buddha, the three smaller figures are bodhisattvas. The standing pose of the figures and limited number of figures date to the kamakura period. Seisha is the standing figure to the left of Buddha; Kannon is kneeling, offering the lotus vehicle to the believer; and Jizo, identified by his staff, stands to the right of Buddha.
