This is a circular, glass paper weight with an image inside of the glass. The glass is 1.5cm thick and the image is at the base of the paper weight and can be seen when looking at the paper weight from the top surface. The image inside is a reproduction of Wyndham Lewis's oil on canvas portrait, "Edith Sitwell" (1923-35). This portrait pictures a woman from the waist up sitting in a chair. To her right there is a window and the end of a bookshelf. The woman is dressed in a green, yellow and red cloak and is wearing a simple headress. She is wearing a cross around her neck giving a religious theme to the image. The woman has a stern face looking downwards towards the floor creating a solemn feel. The style of the image has a cubistic influence and is slightly abstracted from realism. The color palette contains: blue, green, red, yellow, purple, umber, ochre, black and ivory. The bottom of the paper weight is lined with velvet.
